Biography

I am a forward-thinker, highly motivated, and solution-oriented R&D Chemist/ scientist backed by over 7 years (Post PhD 2.9-years and PhD 4.5 years) experience in collaborative Academic/Industrial research. I hold Distinguished Global Talent Visa in Energy Sector by the Australian Government. My research expertise is heterogeneous catalysis, sonochemistry, renewable fuels, materials characterization via advanced analytical and experimental tools with strong expertise in spectroscopic tools leading to the successful investigation of novel materials, designed, characterized, and tested at industry-relevant conditions for direct biomass conversion into biofuels, e.g., green diesel, biogasoline, jet fuel, hydrogen and fuel additives at lab and pilot scale.
I am an emphatic and valiant science communicator making complex scientific concepts accessible to audiences of various backgrounds, an excellent team player and a strong builder of prolific collaborations in various aspects of basic and applied research. I have completed 8 research projects in collaboration with industry and academia, outcomes of the research are published more than 45 peer-reviewed scientific publications in high impact journals, 3 book chapters and 1 edited book and some are forthcoming. I have filed 1 Malaysian patent and two are in process. I have been invited as a reviewer for more than 20 journals, scientific and organising committee member, member of Scientific Societies and presenter in international conferences, seminars, webinars, and meetings. I have 7 years of academic teaching experience for several courses for undergraduate students and supervision of postgraduate and undergraduate students.
I am an enthusiastic and creative team player with easy integration in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment.
