Biography
Hongpu Li received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Huazhong University of science and technology, Wuhan, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and received the Ph.D. degree from Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu, Japan in 2000.
From 1988 to 1996, he had been worked at the State Key Laboratory of Laser Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. From 2000 to 2003, he was with the NEC Research Institute, NJ, with the Phaethon Communication Inc., CA, U.S.A, and then with the Laval University, Canada. In April 2003, he joined to the Shizuoka University, Japan. Now he is a full professor at Graduate School of Engineering, Shizuoka University. His current research interests include the nonlinear fiber optics, fiber gratings, nano-photonics, microwave photonics, advanced fiber and fiber devices, all-optical information processing etc. He has authored more than 250 refereed journal and conference papers and held several U.S. patents.
Dr. Li is a member of IEICE, OSA and IEEE LEOS.
