Biography

Zsolt NAGY, born in 1970, currently lives and works in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Cluj-Napoca in 1994 having also Diploma in Professional Management at Open University Business School Bucharest. He holds a PhD in civil engineering from the Politehnica University of Timișoara and teaches Cold-formed steel structural design and Steel and composite structures for 4-th year and master students at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca / Engineering Structures department as full professor. He is member in several professional organizations and also is active member of Technical Committee TC7, part of the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) and in Working Group of CEN/TC250/SC3, amongst them the one for cold formed steel design eurocode EN 1993-1-3. During the last 15 years he published 9 books, over 100 articles, and participated as manager or member in 10 international and national research projects.
