Biography

Dr. Ibrahim Al-Busaidi is a general practitioner/family medicine physician based in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is also a Lecturer at the Department of Primary Care and Clinical Simulation, University of Otago, New Zealand. He has completed an intercalated MBChB/BMedSc(Hons) at the University of Otago, Dunedin/Christchurch Campuses. His clinical interests include (1) diabetes and its complications, especially diabetic foot disease, and (2) interest and involvement in research among health profession trainees and graduates. His current research focuses on (1) the study of diabetic foot disease in Oman and New Zealand, (2) medical education, in particular, health profession students/trainees/graduates' interest and involvement in research, intercalation in medical education, and faculty development activities.
