Biography

Andre is a passionate scientist and entrepreneur. He completed a BSc and MSc degree in Molecular Biotechnology at Heidelberg University, Germany, and became a Gates Cambridge Scholar in 2016. He obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2021 and is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cambridge. Andre's research combines expertise in microbiology, algae biotechnology, computational biology and portable DNA sequencing, to better understand, detect and use microbes.
