Biography
PhD student in Physical Geography is currently developing her research on the permafrost thermal state in the Antarctic Peninsula with an FCT grant (2021.05119.BD). Has a master's degree in Physical Geography from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon (IGOT-ULisboa). During her master's degree, she developed her thesis on the study of ground surface temperature and permafrost in Barton Peninsula, King George Island (Antarctica). In this context, she has collaborated on the PERMANTAR project activities with the installation of a new GTN-P borehole (King Sejong Station borehole, 13m) and 20 thermal sensors for ground surface temperature monitoring, and with the maintenance of the instruments installed in the observatories.
