Biography

Botanist with a passion for tropical biodiversity, especially South-East Asia, with a research focus on the taxonomy and systematics of a range of various woody plants, the floristics of New Guinea and Borneo, and conveying plant diversity and identification techniques to a broad audience. Primarily interested in the discovery and description of SE Asia’s plant diversity, and enhancing and curating the herbaria, specimens and data that underpin all fundamental biodiversity research. Editor-in-Chief of Gardens’ Bulletin Singapore, Editor of Thai Forest Bulletin, and a member of the Flora Malesiana and Flora of Thailand Boards, as well as an international advisor for Sandakania.
