Prasanna D. Belur is an Assistant professor at National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal, India. He is a chemical engineer, pursuing research in the area of Bioprocess engineering and allied areas. He is involved in teaching of graduate and under-graduate students. His areas of interest includes development of various bioprocesses to produce therapeutic enzymes, proteins, probiotics and nematodes, edible oil refining technology, Enzyme technology and oenology. He is the recipient of fellowship for “Khorana Program Technology Transfer Course 2013”. The program was funded by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, and conducted by University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) in partnership with Indo-US Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), was held at University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. On the invitation of Prof. Len Holmes, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, USA, he worked at Sartorius-Stedim Biotechnology lab, UNCP, USA during May-July 2012, on in-situ production of Entomopathogenic Nematodes.
