Biography
Since June 2023, Maksim Smolov is a principal expert of R&D department of Russian biopharmaceutical manufacturing company “GENERIUM LLC”. Before moving to expert vacancy, he spent four years as a head of physico-chemical laboratory, where critical attributes of Glurazyme®, Elizaria®, Tigerase®, Reveliza® and Genolair® products were established and thoroughly characterized.
He did his PhD sponsored by a RFBR and TRIoH fellowship in the group of Prof. Marina Gottikh at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Before starting his PhD, he graduated as a bioorganic chemist in 2002.
Maksim Smolov is working on different aspects of the development, manufacturing, and formulation of biotherapeutics. A strong research focus is on the application of novel analytical techniques and physicochemical methods to design better therapeutic proteins and formulations.
