Gregory Carvalho

Biography

He holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Brasília - UnB, with studies focused on institutions, federalism, decision-making processes, and policy diffusion, covering the following topics:transparency practices and access to information, the use of government procurement power, public health financing, environmental sanitation management, and housing policy formulation. He was a finalist for the ANPOCS award for Best Thesis in Social Sciences (2021). He has experience in government and institutional relations (2008-2016), having worked in the third sector, private initiative, and public sector. In 2014, he joined the federal public service as a member of the Social Policy Development career at the Ministry of Health. Since 2016, he has been advising and coordinating various programs and public policies, with a focus on: federative articulation; formulation, implementation, and evaluation of public policies; development of good regulatory and governance practices; public management improvement; and interaction with oversight bodies. He was part of the 3rd edition of the Mentoring Program for Senior Executives in the Public Sector at ENAP. Currently, he is a coordinator in the Office of the Secretary for Information and Digital Health at the Ministry of Health and teaches courses related to Public Policies.
