Biography
After receiving his bachelor and master degrees in chemical engineering in Boğaziçi University and University fo California Santa Barbara respectively, H. Burak Eral obtained his Ph.D. degree in applied physics at the University of Twente in 2012. He then moved to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Professor Patrick S. Doyle and Professor Allan Myerson in MIT-Novartis center for continuous manufacturing. Since October 2016 he has been working as a in Delft University of Technology. He also holds a guest faculty position in Van’t Hoff labs in Utrecht university. He is currently serving in the board of Delft Process Technology Institute. His curiosity spans crystal engineering, complex fluids (soft matter) & colloidal physics, microfluidics and coupled heat/momentum/mass transfer i.e. transport phenomena. He focusses on the physical mechanisms governing manufacturing g and separation processes that play a critical role in energy transition.
