Biography

Dr. Manoj Kumar Yadav has been working as an Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, since 2018. He has worked as an assistant professor of bioinformatics at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College (Government Medical College), Raipur, from 2014 to 2018. Dr. Yadav completed his doctoral degree in bioinformatics at the prestigious Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, in 2014 and secured his postgraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Allahabad, Allahabad. He had cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam twice in June 2008 and December 2009 and also qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam in 2009.
Dr. Yadav is an Honorary “Fellow of the Society of Life Sciences (F.S.L.Sc.)” from the National Society of Life Sciences, India. He has been actively involved in teaching as well as research in the area of bioinformatics and computational biology for more than 10 years. Dr. Yadav has published dozens of research and review papers in various peer-reviewed journals of international repute and also authored several books and book chapters. He has research experience in the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in solving advanced classification problems, genome-wide study to identify the role of different factors shaping codon usage bias in human infecting Plasmodium species, identification of potent drug targets and inhibitor design using computational methods, and study of macro-molecular interactions using molecular dynamics simulation and computer-aided drug design. Dr. Yadav has completed several projects, including one on COVID-19 funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), GOI, as a principal investigator.
