Personal information
Biography
Committed journey in sports, mostly around youth soccer. Started coaching at 15 years of age as a helper in camps and intensive weeks. Continued involvement in over 20 clubs, institutions and projects worldwide headed to UEFA coaching qualification with the Scottish FA more recently. Volunteering at the FIFA World Cup 2010 counted as important experience, and enhanced my initial studies in Multimedia, Interactive Medias and Information Technologies.
Further studies (MSc Management of IT, MA Psychopedagogy) were redirected to support in-play decision-making. Since then, my involvement in soccer was devoted to study the experience of playing and learning tactics, counting with cognition and training. This new focus opened new horizons from Brazil to Portugal, as well as the opportunity to learn up to 5 new languages. Complementary certification (e.g.: CIES-FIFA Exec Sport Management) adds on to the pedigree intended to qualify as head of performance programs.
Actively producing both in Sport Sciences and Youth Soccer Coaching, I focus on the design of games and the review of decisions in the play. I now act as the coordinator of individual development for training and elite player. Recent publications also reinforce my interest for player development, in both practical and scientific perspectives.
