Biography
José Paulo Gomes Brazão holds a PhD in Education - Pedagogical Innovation (2008) from the University of Madeira (UMa), Portugal. He is a teacher and researcher in the scientific field of Education: Pedagogical Innovation, and Sex and Gender Diversity; Post-doctorate (2022) from the Postgraduate Program in Education in the research line of Education Culture and Diversity, at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS).; Post-doctoral student in Education (2023) at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon (Portugal); Master in Educational Psychology (2000), at the Institute of Psychological, Social and Life Sciences (ISPA); He holds the Advanced Post-University Specialization in Affirmative Psychosocial Intervention with LGBTQ+ People - advanced professional program, by the Portuguese Institute of Psychology, (INSPSIC), in (2023); He is an expert in Pedagogic Innovation of the Project « L'ingénierie d'accompagnement comme levier d'innovation pédagogique » dans le cadre de l'accord n° 2023-1-FR01-KA220-SCH-000154909 ERASMUS+. He is a Guest Professor at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS - BR), since February 2022; Guest Professor at University of Rovuma (UNIROVUMA) Mozambique, since octobre 2023 ; Guest Professor at the State University of Bahia (UNEB - BR), since February 2022; Associate Member of the Research Center in Education of the University of Madeira (CIE-UMa), FCT center- PEst-OE/CED/UI4083/2014 –(PT); Associate Member in the CONQUEER Research Group - Queer Studies and Research Group and other Feminist epistemologies, from the Federal University of Sergipe – (BR); Associate Member in the Research Group in Afro-Latin American Scientific and Technological Education - GP - ECITALA; Member of the Research Group in Visual Culture, Education and Languages- Cult-Vi of the Postgraduate Program in Education and Diversity, at (UNEB - BR); Member of the RIA NETWORK - International Network of Actions In Education; Maintains interest in research on cultural invariants; Studies on gender in school contexts; Ethnographic studies in education; Studies on the use of technology and Internet tools in learning contexts. He has guided master's dissertations and doctoral theses and has participated in master's and doctoral juries in Pedagogical Innovation. He was director of the master's course in Pre-School Education and Primary School Teaching, between 2010 and 2018. He was a teacher of Primary School (1985), specialized in Problems of Cognition (1990). He was a Special Education teacher between 1990 and 2000. He specialized in Art Therapy - musictherapy - René Descartes University - Paris V (1996). He developed sociodrama workshops. He was an amateur theater actor (in TEF), between (1984 - 2000). Member of APIS - Association for the protection of invertebrates. Founder of the working group "Núcleo RE – Always Relearn"
