Biography

Xiaomeng Xu was born in Fuling, China and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 5, growing up in New York City. She received a B.A. in Psychology from New York University (on Lenape land), an M.A. in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Social Health Psychology from Stony Brook University (on Setauket land), and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and The Miriam Hospital (on Wampanoag and Narragansett land).

Dr. Xu is an Associate Professor of Experimental Psychology at Idaho State University (on Shoshone-Bannock land). Her research interests include close relationships, behavioral health, and teaching/mentoring.
