Biography

Dr. Besheer is professor of electrical power systems at university of Sadat City, Egypt. He is currently the head of Technology Innovation Commercialization office at university of Sadat City. Dr. Besheer held faculty and research positions at several national, regional and international universities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and UK. He also worked for several years in industry as a project manager and senior consultant. During his professional career, he got the opportunity to design, develop and teach, several electrical engineering modules ranged from basic engineering science to very sophisticated topics and subjects particularly in the electrical power and machines engineering field. He authored and coauthored more than fifty papers in the field of optimizing and controlling the operational performance of renewable energy systems. Dr. Besheer holds couples of best paper award and University Award for Scientific Research Excellence. His research scope includes Artificial Intelligent Control (Fuzzy modeling – Fuzzy control – Artificial Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm and Ant Algorithm Optimization), Robust Control (Convex optimization over linear matrix inequalities), Renewable / Alternative Energy Systems (Green Distributed Generation Systems - Wind Energy Conversion System – Photovoltaic – solar thermal).
