Biography

Felix is an applied economist with a particular research interests in

- the use, quality and accessibility of government data, and its policy application

- labour economics, particularly low pay

- data confidentiality, security and access

- effective management of research data

He has extensive experience of working with government departments to ensure that research is relevant, policy-oriented and accessible to non-specialists.

Felix joined UWE in June 2012 after nine years at the Office for National Statistics, and a series of jobs in the public and private sector in the UK and abroad.

Since joining UWE, he has led or been a co-inveitgator on over 50 projects, totalling around £15m. Funders include UKRI (ESRC, MRC), the Low Pay Commission, the Office for National Statistics; and the Wellcome Trust. He provides research, advice and consultancy to a wide range of organisations across the UK and abroad. He has also been an Expert Witness for the UK courts.
