Biography

Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Irfan Zia is a distinguished professor and researcher at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi, Pakistan. He earned his PhD from the University of Malaga, Spain, graduating Cum Laude. His doctoral research focused on energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions for underwater acoustic communication modems. With more than two decades of experience in both academia and industry, Dr. Zia has held key positions at institutions such as Ziauddin University and Umm Al Qura University, where he led pioneering research in green energy, wireless sensor networks, and embedded systems. He has successfully secured substantial international research funding and mentored numerous graduate students. Dr. Zia has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals and presented at numerous international conferences. A passionate educator, he integrates innovative teaching strategies to foster problem-solving and critical thinking skills in his students. His contributions have been recognized with awards from Harbin University (China), the Project Management Institute (USA), and Umm Al Qura University (Saudi Arabia). Dr. Zia continues to spearhead cutting-edge research in sustainable communication technologies and remains committed to advancing excellence in engineering education.
