Biography
Gregg Adams graduated with Distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 and began his career as a practitioner in southern Alberta. He holds a clinical specialty in Theriogenology and a PhD in reproductive physiology/endocrinology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Adams joined the faculty at the University of Saskatchewan in 1991 and is presently Professor of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences. Adams is a world-leader in the study of ovarian function, fertility and seasonal breeding patterns in native Canadian ungulates, such as wood and plains bison, elk, and white-tail deer, in addition to beef cattle. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and was named Mentor of the Year by the International Embryo Technology Society, among other major honours. Dr. Adams is named in a Stanford University report as one of the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in his field.
