Biography
Liqiang Mai, Chair Professor, PhD supervisor, the Dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, Distinguished Young Scholar of Natural Science of China (2014), Changjiang Scholar Professor of Ministry of Education of China (2016), Winner of National Ten Thousand Talent Program of China. Mai is committed to the research on energy storage materials and devices and application. Mai has published more than 600 SCI-indexed papers, cited over 50,000 times, including Nature (2), Science (1) and Nature, Science and Cell sister-journals (25). Mai has obtained 138 authorized invention paten ts as the first inventor, 28 of which have been transferred. Mai has published one monograph (Nanowire Energy Storage Materials and Device), and was invited to give 32 plenary lectures and keynotes lecture in important conferences such as the annual meeting of the American Materials Society. Mai has undertaken over 30 national projects such as the National Key Scientific Research Instrument Project and the Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. Mai has planned and initiated "High-end Forum on Epidemic Prevention and Popularization" and "Master Lecture Materials Forum", appealing up to 600,000 audiences, which have been recognized and reported by mainstream media such as China Daily, Xinhua Daily.
