Biography

Luís Mata is currently invited as an Adjunct Professor of Computer and Internet Networks at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL). Following over 25 years in the telecom sector, he joined CELFINET in 2021 as Lead Researcher within the R&D Department. He is a PhD student at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa (IST/UL), wherein he received his B.S. degree in Electrotechnical Engineering and Computers in 1996. His thesis focuses on using AI/ML to increase the efficiency of mobile networks. He holds an MBA degree received at AESE/IESE Business School, in Lisbon. His main interests are related to Network Sharing, 5G, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Industry 4.0.
