Biography

Dr. Yuanding Huang is now working as a senior scientist in Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon (previously GKSS, HZG). He studied Materials Science and Engineering and obtained his doctoral degree at University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) in 1995. Later he moved to MTM (Department of Materials Engineering), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as a postdoctor. In 2002 he joined in GKSS. His research expertise and interests include developments of new magnesium alloys for structural and biomedicine applications, aluminum alloys, intermetallic alloys and their composites, and optimizations of their processing techniques.
