Biography

Dr. P.Govindhan has completed DTed. (2006) in Education from Dr.Radhakrishnan Teacher Training Institute, Pollachi. B.Sc. (2009) in Applied Chemistry from Annamalai University, M.Sc. (2011) in Chemistry from Annamalai University, and Ph.D. (2018) from Anna University, Chennai. He has more than thirteen years of research and teaching experience. He joined the Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai in January 2023. He has served in several educational institutions, in various capacities, as Assistant Professor and Director i/c has contributed to various aspects of the teaching-learning and accreditation process.
He has published 17 research papers in referred international journals 8 research papers in proceedings of international conferences and 1 Book chapter in international publishers. He has organized and attended many conferences, workshops, trainings, symposiums and seminars at both national and international level. He is a recognized PhD supervisor at Anna University, Chennai. His current research work includes value addition in extraction, biofuels (biodiesel), catalysis and nanoparticles, energy and environment, and wastewater analysis.

He holds a life membership in the Catalysis Society of India.
