Biography
Dr Jade Moran is a critical criminologist at Leeds Beckett University. Her research interests focus on the conflict in the North of Ireland, state crime, and policing during and after armed conflict. Jade is interested in legacy killings, the role of ex-combatants and politically motivated prisoners, the use of informal justice systems, undercover policing and military units, and the killing of unarmed civilians. Her research tends to focus on Irish Republican and Loyalist communities in Belfast. She is privileged to teach about war, crime and violence, the politics of policing, violent and sexual offending, and feminist criminology.
