Biography

Col (Dr) Rakesh Kumar Shrivastawa is an Administrator and Educationist, who obtained his Doctorate Degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in International Relations. After a glorious service in the Indian Army for 34 years, presently he is working as Registrar at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar.

Quest for education always motivated him to pursue higher studies. He did his M.Sc. Tech (Weapon System) from Pune University in 2007, PhD in International Relations from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 2014 and Diploma in Guidance and Counselling in 2021 from Jamia Milia Islamia University.

At Pandit Deendayal Energy University, apart from his Administrative duties, he also takes lectures on International Relations and leadership. He is a voracious writer and many of his articles have been published in Newspapers, National and International Journals. He is a public speaker on leadership and Energy issues and has taken part in National and International Conferences. He is also a member of BRICS University and has attended International conference at Russia and South Africa as part of BRICS Universities Forum.

He takes keen interest in subjects of National Security and International Relations and specializes in fields of India’s foreign relations with its neighbours, Central Asia, ASEAN, Asia Pacific, Energy Security and Geopolitics of Energy. He is also an avid sports person.
