Biography
In my education, I currently hold one bachelor’s degree completed in communication technology engineering in 2012 (17.27 out of 20) and attained the highest final ranking among peers in the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering program for the entrance year. As a step forward, I completed my master’s degree in electrical engineering control in 2015 (16.11 out of 20). My master's thesis was entitled “Air Pollution Modelling of Shiraz City Due to Civic Traffic” with the result published in a journal paper titled” The traffic flow effect modelling on the air pollution of Shiraz City”.
My extensive work experience includes teaching as a lecturer at the Islamic Azad University and as a Teacher Assistant at the Quchan University of Technology, both in Iran. Additionally, I completed internships at Switch Hall of Hafez Telecommunication Centre and Iran Telecommunication Factory Industries in Shiraz. I have also worked as a Net Planning Assistant Director at IKCO, a Quality Control Expert at IKCO, and an R&D Supervisor and Production Manager at MahtaWing, all in Iran. I am now the Chairman of Parishan Protein Parham Company, Shiraz, Iran. Furthermore, I achieved first place in the technical ranking and fourth place in the overall ranking at the National Robotics Competition- in 2010.
I am enrolled in the Engineering and Industrial Management PhD Program at the University of Porto, where my thesis focused on “Digital Twin in Complex Operations Environments: State-of-the-art and Research Opportunities”. My research interests are focused on complex systems, digital twins, Industry 4.0, machine learning, decision support systems, and simulation-based optimization, which aligns with my doctoral program research topic. Currently, I have a research assistant position at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology, and Science in Porto.
Following my interests and research topic, I was able to share my information about Digital Twins at the 14th Industrial Engineering and Management Symposium (IEMS) for the first time. Furthermore, my scientific article titled “Digital Twin in Complex Operations Environments: Potential Applications and Research Challenges received acclaim at the ICITM-2023 conference and was published in ACIE-2023, available in IEEE conference proceedings. Additionally, I engaged in academic activities by fully presenting at IEMS-2024 and IEMS-2025 and having a published book chapter, “Toward Digital Twin Conceptualization in Complex Operations Environments” which has facilitated my development and serves as a baseline for advanced research. This work was considered in the top eight papers which were presented at the FAIM 2024 conference.
My language skills include fluency in Farsi as my mother tongue, advanced proficiency in English with a TOEFL IBT score of 100 and an elementary level in Portuguese. I possess strong communication and job-related skills in quality control processes and planning nets, and I have expertise in a range of computer software programs, including MATLAB, Python, C++, Auto Cad, Solid Works, Advance PLC, Proteus, ISIS, Bascom AVR, and Microsoft Office. I have been working as a researcher in the NEXUS project since January 2023.
