Biography
Constantinos G. Neochoritis received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry under the guidance of Professors J. Stephanidou Stephanatou and C. Tsoleridis of the Department of Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2011. Being fascinated by the applied multicomponent reaction (MCR) chemistry, he joined the research group of Prof. Alexander Dömling in the Drug Design Group at the University of Groningen. He specialized in computational-aided drug design utilizing MCR chemistry. In 2014, he cofounded the biotech company TelesisPharma BV. In 2019, he moved back to Greece where he was appointed as Assistant Professor and then as Associate Professor (2023) in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Crete. His research interests are centered on multicomponent reactions on the areas of drug discovery (library synthesis, high throughput synthesis, SAR studies), new modalities (synthetic methodology, access to unprecedented scaffolds, macrocycles) and functional organic materials (donor-acceptor systems, functionalized molecules). He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers and book contributions.
