MPharm, MSc, PhD
I have worked on structural parcellation of subjects’ MRIs to compare their performance to atlas-based parcellation as base node definition methods for brain connectivity analyses in individuals with Bipolar Disorder. My current research project is designed to build on current knowledge regarding the role of the muscarinic cholinergic system in mood regulation. My research aims to contribute to the elucidation of the biological basis of mood disorders and more specifically to determine the role of structural and functional connectivity in their brain networks as they relate to the muscarinic cholinergic M2 receptor variation, cholinergic neurotransmission and emotion regulation in bipolar disorder.
