Biography
I am a biologist interested in Neotropical deer biology and conservation. I have experience with wild deer monitoring using GPS/VHF telemetry, cam traps, aerial surveys, and non-invasive fecal sampling using scat detection dogs. I have been working with non-invasive genetic sampling to investigate Mazama ecology and genetics, focusing on population estimates, geographic distribution, and molecular phylogeny. I have worked in conservation public policy in Brazil, contributing to the national red list assessment and conservation actions plan for Cervidae threatened species.
