Biography

Prof. Eliyahu-Levi heads the Hebrew language department at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic College. She researches migration processes and social integration in Israel and worldwide, exposing applied practices to reduce linguistic, social, cultural, and national gaps. Her research focuses on multiculturalism and multilingual issues, developing intercultural competence and intelligence, and designing learning-teaching processes based on culture-relevant pedagogy. Prof. Eliyahu-Levi teaches courses on discourse analysis, rhetorical discourse practice, cultural-socio-resilience of minority communities, and second language teaching in formal and informal education.
Prof. Eliyahu-Levi is part of a European consortium, KIDS4ALLL, which is part of Horizon 2020 and examines the learning environments of migrant children and their interaction with the receiving society.
