Biography
After his graduation at Wageningen University (Netherlands), Robert Feil obtained a Ph.D. in Human Genetics at the IGBMC in Strasbourg, France. He performed his post-doctoral research at the Babraham Institute in Cambridge (UK), where he explored DNA methylation and its role in genomic imprinting in the mouse. In 1995, he was elected group leader in Cambridge, to initiate research on the chromatin organisation of imprinted domains. In 2001, he was appointed ‘Director of Research’ at the CNRS Institute of Molecular Genetics in Montpellier (France). Using mouse models, his team explores the role of histone modifications and non-coding RNA in epigenetic regulation and genomic imprinting.
