Biography

I am a Professor at ISCAP (Polytechnic University of Porto), in the area of Languages and Translation. I hold a PhD. from Vigo University in Translation and Paratranslation and a Specialist Title in Languages and Cultures – Languages and Foreign Literature from ISCAP. I also hold a Master's degree in Multimedia in Education from University of Aveiro, another Master in Translation and Paratranslation from Vigo University, and a five-year degree in Specialized Translation and Interpretation from ISCAP.
I am the Director of the Post-graduation course in Language Services and a member of the Editorial Board of Polissema – Revista de Letras do ISCAP (annual journal).
I am also a a Researcher at CEOS.PP, since 2017 and a reviewer for several international journals.

Research interests: Translation; Computer-assisted translation; Machine Translation; English for specific purposes; Language Learning; Artificial Intelligence and e/b-learning.
