Biography

Holder of a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship, I am appointed at the Department of Educational Anthropology and Educational Psychology Danish School of Education (DPU) - Aarhus University. My research project entitled Cuban Higher Education Reform: A Policy Ethnography (CHERPE) addresses the anthropology of policy approach and dialogues with the higher education and Cuban studies fields. My background includes the Social Anthropology (PhD), Educational Psychology (MA) and Psychology (BA) disciplines. My research trajectory has been built up via interdisciplinary practices, including themes linked to the anthropology of education and education policy both in Cuba and Brazil, teacher training in Latin American contexts, and human development and psychologist training in Cuban higher education. I have engaged in teaching for over fifteen years in universities in Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Sapin and Mexico, which includes undergraduate (psychology and anthropology) and postgraduate (education) levels and both face-to-face and online modalities
