Biography

Yasuo Ogawa is an emeritus professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He now works for the Multidisciplinary Resilience Research Center at the Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly Tokyo Institute of Technology) and is a visiting researcher at the School of Science, Tohoku University.
He was a research geophysicist at the Geological Survey of Japan from 1983 to 2000 before joining Tokyo Tech in 2001. From 2008 to 2011, he chaired the working group (Electromagnetic Induction in the Earth) of IAGA. From 2013 to 2020, he was the editor-in-chief of the journal Earth, Planets, and Space.
