Biography
Federica Cornali received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education Sciences in 2001, graduating with highest honours, and was awarded her PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Turin in 2006. She is associate professor in sociology at the University of Turin, Department of Cultures, Politics and Society. Her main research interests are in sociology of education, and include education and human capital formation, focusing particularly on their relationship with social and economic development; education and well-being, with particular attention to the factors that influence their relationship; school effectiveness and policy, evaluation practices, indicators and rhetoric; schooling for tomorrow, scenarios, trends, developments, events expected to affect the future of education systems.
