Rosabel Roig-Vila

Biography

Prof. Rosabel Roig Vila, Full Professor and Chair (Educational ICT), at the University of Alicante [UA] [in spanish, "Catedrática de Universidad"]. She holds a PhD in Pedagogy. She was the Dean of the Faculty of Education (20056-2009) and the Head and Chairwoman of the Institute of Educational Sciences (2016-2020) at the University of Alicante. She is head of the GIDU-EDUTIC/IN research group [http://bit.ly/2Ovbafw].
She is the Editor of the Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research (http://www.naerjournal.ua.es), and her research revolves around Pedagogy, Specific Didactics, ICTs and Teaching-Learning Processes.
She has published a number of learned and research papers --more than 200-- about ICT and Education such as: Investigar el Cambio Curricular en el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior y La articulación de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación en la educación –published at New York: Edwin Mellen Press—.
She has given various lectures on the subject (in Spain and abroad).
She has been the coordinator of E-ACCESIBLE PROJECT, awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN: IPT-430000-2010-29); and she is the researcher-in-chief for ICT and Education R+D of IVITRA (http://www.ivitra.ua.es). She has been scientific coordinator of european projects: ALDIA (“Accessible Learning design, implementation and accreditation”, ref.: 562155-EPP-1-2015-1-ES-EPPKA3-PI-FORWARD) and LIKEHOME (“Assessing and recognizing the prior learning of migrants. Bridging the gap and paving the road to educational and social integration”, ref: 580211-EPP-1-2016-1-ES-EPPKA3-IPI-SOC-IN).
She has received award “Education and Society Award” (1995) from the MICINN.
She coordinates educational and research networks: EDUTIC, EDUONLINE and ARTICUA.
