Biography

My name is Muhammad Ikram, I did a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (5 years) in 2011, M.phil in Molecular Biochemistry from 2011-2014. Recently, I completed a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience from the Department of Biology, Neurobiology Labs Gyeongsang National University, Jinju South Korea. Worked for one year as a postdoc with my Ph.D. PI. After that I worked for one year as an assistant Professor at Khyber Medical University, Peshawar Pakistan. Recently (from May 1st, 2023) I joined the University of Texas as a postdoc fellow. My research field is covering novel neuroprotective strategies (by using natural, synthetic, and semi-synthetic compounds) against Alzheimer's, Parkinson, metabolic stress-induced neurodegeneration, Ischemic brain Injury, and traumatic brain injury. I have a solid track record of publications (research and review articles) in international peer-reviewed reputed journals. I have a strong background in molecular studies in neuroscience.
