Biography

Dr. Fathia Karoui obtained Master of Science and Engineer Degree from Grenoble INP in 2004, specialty Decentralized Production and Storage of Energy. She also obtained a PhD from University Grenoble Alpes in 2007, specialty Electrochemistry, on the optimization of charge strategies of lead-acid batteries used in photovoltaic applications.
She worked then as development engineer of battery management systems in the automotive industry from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 she works as research engineer and project manager in the Electrochemical Storage Laboratory of CEA LITEN.
Currently, she is involved in various projects on the diagnosis of PV- Storage plants and on battery modeling and sizing and more specifically in the European project OSMOSE (2018-2021) focused on the optimal system - mix of flexibility solutions for European electricity. The European project HYBRIS (2021-2023) on advanced battery management system for a hybrid battery, IEA PVPS project (2021-2023) focused on vehicle integrated photovoltaics
