Biography

I am a professor for knowledge management and information design at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. My research interests lies on information design (interaction, information architecture), knowledge representation, knowledge graphs, and the Semantic Web. I received my Diploma Degree and my PhD in Computer Science from the RWTH Aachen, Germany in 1987 and 1995 respectively. In 1988-1999, I worked as a research staff at the Helmholtz-Institute for Biomedical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen.
