Biography
Joy Stradford is a graduate student in the San Diego State University/ University of California San Diego (SDSU/UCSD) Joint Doctoral Program (JDP) in Clinical Psychology. Joy received her bachelor of science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from Howard University in May of 2017 and her master of science in Neuroimaging and Informatics from USC in May of 2018. Joy gained her research experience working in several labs within the Howard University Psychology Department, Howard University Hospital, and the USC Mark and Mary Steven's Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute. Joy assisted with the management of two clinical trials at USC LONI and UCSD Health exploring the impact of healthy lifestyle modifications on brain health in older adults. Joy is interested in examining racial disparities in Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias (ADRD), and ultimately aspires to become a clinical neuropsychologist.
