Animal-Free, Human Relevant Models, Cancer

Biography

I am trained as a biomedical engineer and I have a PhD in Cancer Research, DNA replication and Epigenetics.

After a short year of postdoctoral research in glioblastoma at the University College of London, I've decided to leave academic research to focus on supporting human-relevant science, working as a Science Manager at Animal Free Research UK charity. I am fascinated by new approach methodologies (NAMs) and think it is the modern way to do ethical and more reliable science. We hope that through supporting this kind of human-relevant research, educating young scientists and influencing policy makers and journals, we will succeed making possible a 100% animal free biomedical research that will benefit both humans and animals.

I am fascinated by science, nature and animals. I am easy going, curious and open minded. Always keen to learn and share my knowledge with other. I love this aphorism "science without conscience is but the ruin of the soul" and try to apply this to my work.
