Biography
Stoyan Stoyanov received his PhD degree in 2004 (at University of Greenwich) for work entitled "Optimisation Modelling for Microelectronics Packaging and Product Design". He is Reader in Computational Engineering and Optimisation and Lead of the Computational Mechanics and Reliability Group (CMRG) at University of Greenwich since 2022. His research interest are in the fields of numerical simulation, thermo-mechanical finite element analysis, physics-of-failure and reliability modelling and computational intelligence. Stoyan has 140+ publications in journals and IEEE conferences. He is a senior member of IEEE since 2016 and member of the IEEE Electronics Packaging Society (EPS). He is Chair of the IEEE UK and Ireland EPS and Reliability Joint Chapter.
