Graduated from the University of Lorraine (France) with a PhD degree in Health and Life Sciences, awarded with the European Doctorate label. My PhD thesis on cancer chemoprevention and therapy by natural products, realised in the framework of the European “RedCat” Marie Curie Initial Training Network, is also the fruit of a tight collaboration between the Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire du Cancer (LBMCC) in Luxembourg and the Laboratoire Structure et Réactivité des Systèmes Moléculaires Complexes (SRSMC) in Metz (France). During the last five years, I have analysed the biological properties of natural compounds as potential chemopreventive and anti-cancer therapeutic agents on cancer cell models and especially with human leukaemia and prostate cancer cell lines but also on healthy human models. Using various biological techniques, I was especially interested in elucidating the mechanisms of action of natural molecules like curcumin and plumbagin but also of natural-based compounds (coumarin, curcumin, flavonoids,...) synthesized by chemistry partner teams of the RedCat network and other collaborators. Now, I set a career goal to develop skills in extraction, isolation and structure elucidation of natural products.
