Biography

Jingjing Peng is a Post-Doctoral Associate at the Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center (ESSIC) of the University of Maryland. She conducts research into the VIIRS and GOES-R albedo algorithm validation and monitoring. Until June 2016, she worked in developing a physical vegetation albedo model based on energy conservation with post-doc studies at Peking University, in China. Dr. Jingjing received her M.S. degree from Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research interests include developing high efficiency inversion models for land surface albedo, validation of remote sensing products using multi-source data including ground measurements and satellite observations. She is also interested in how the albedo and vegetation parameters are applied in researches including energy balance, biology, global change and human activities.
