Biography

I work as a researcher at the Centre for Intercultural Communication at VID Specialized University in Stavanger (Norway). In parallel, I am doing a PhD in Sociology at the University of Oslo with a project focusing on family reunification and labour market integration of Polish migrants in Norway, Sweden, and the UK. Also, I am the leader of the research project "Between ambitions and realities" (MAVI) which examines aspirations for and actual integration on the labour market among newly arrived Syrian refugees in Norway.

My education background is within the field of International Economics and Migration Studies. Through over eight years of practical experience in migration research, I have acquired solid skills from qualitative and quantitative research methods, including designing online surveys, participant recruitments via social media, and statistical analysis.

My research interests lie in the area of migration studies, and in particular international economic and family migration. I am also interested in a broad spectrum of sociological research, among others the welfare state, national and religious identity, nationalism, and capitalism.
