His educational background is in environmental geography. In 2012 he was awarded his PhD title in geography field, with a background in catchment hydrology from the University of Bucharest.
At the core of the research was an exploration of runoff processes at the hydrologic microscale, with a specific focus on runoff plots. This entailed a detailed examination of soil moisture, rainfall, and runoff dynamics at the event scale. Complementing this, statistical analyses of discharge data across various temporal scales were performed. In the realm of scientific engagement, a consistent role was played as a reviewer for international journals, showcasing commitment. Moreover, active contributions were made to the academic discourse through participation in conferences and workshops, as well as the publication of books, guides, and papers, some of which are accessible on the Google Scholar page.
