Biography
Qingtian Lü (Lyu), Professor in Geophysics, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences (CAGS), Deputy Director of SinoProbe Center, CAGS. Major research interests include Mineral system research and exploration, hard rock seismic, magnetic and gravity inversion and interpretation. Received B.S. and M.S. in 1981 and 1988 from Changchun College of Geology; Ph.D. in 1997 from China University of Geosciences at Beijing (CUGB). Guest Professor of Jilin University, China University of Geosciences (Beijing), Authored more than 220 peer-reviewed publications. PI of SinoProbe-I’s “Deep Mineral Research program (2008-2014)”, and of National Key Research and Development Program “The Deep Process of Mesozoic Intra-continental Mineral System and Its Matter Response (2016-2020)”; Member of Science Advisor Group (SAG,2017-2020), and Executive Committee (2023-2027) of International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP), Served on Resources and Environment subcommittee of National Commission on National High-technology Research and Development Plan (863) from 2006 to 2010. Chief Editor of Geological Bulletin of China, and AE of Acta Geologica Sinica (English Edition).
