Biography

Several topics in fundamental research have been in my focus including the mechanisms of virulence of intracellular pathogenic bacteria, the mechanisms of resistance to aminoglycoside antibiotics in antibiotics producers, microbial diversity and metagenomics, isolation and characterization of novel antibacterial and antivirulence bioactive compounds, elucidation of their mechanisms of action, genome mining.
