Biography
PhD in Agrarian Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, I developed my project on the theme "Early detection and identification of plant diseases caused by bacteria based on proximal sensing in a precision agriculture perspective".
I'm passionate about social responsibility, and I have been developing and integrating several volunteer projects in different areas. These experiences have made me more autonomous, resilient, and persistent, and have helped me to discover an extreme taste for contact with the public and sharing of knowledge.
Throughout my academic career, I had the opportunity to integrate and lead a group of volunteers in the subject of Social Therapeutic Horticulture, having developed a taste for fieldwork and teamwork. During my Master's dissertation, I had the opportunity to develop predictive phenological models of the sprouting and flowering of the grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) and to analyze the pollen quality of different Portuguese grape varieties and some French grape varieties. This last experience allowed me to develop my laboratory working skills, as well as data processing and analysis. This work resulted in the elaboration of several scientific articles.
I work hard every day to contribute to a more efficient, sustainable, and more profitable (both from a productive and economic point of view) agriculture.
I enjoy sharing experiences and knowledge with professionals in the agricultural sector (and related areas) and I am always interested in establishing new contacts.
