Biography
I’m an assistant professor in the school psychology program at Utah State University. I’m a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. I received my PhD at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in school psychology. I primarily research suicide, self-harm, and related topics using quantitative methods. I aim to help youth, young adults, families, and school communities build lives perceived as worth living. Through a variety of efforts—such as prevention, assessment, treatment, and postvention—I believe there are important opportunities at the individual and systems levels to reduce suffering related to emotional/behavioral challenges. I am also interested in clinical behavior therapies, such as dialectical behavior therapy, and problems of applied measurement. If you’d like to learn more about me or my lab, please visit my website. I am always interested in potential research collaborations and would love to hear from you.
